The Legend of HUNGARIAN HAIR / SZŐRMAGYAR LEGENDÁJA

The Legend of HUNGARIAN HAIR, A costume drama by Poltné Hotykai Katika and DrKissRitaPanda (founding members of Panda Group) ran from 2008 MAY 27 to JUNE 7. Premiere non-projection of the film and exhibition of the costumes was unopened by director Czajlik József (played by Andráskó Péter).

THE LEGEND OF HUNGARIAN HAIR

Back to modernism… the costume as a fine art creation is the starting point of a story which springs only from its scenery. Poltné Hotykai works as a theatrical costume designer in contemporary theatre.

The basic idea of the film was to use existing costume designs which had fallen victim to the limits imposed on applied art by directorial and production necessities.


Poltné Hotykai and DrKissRitaPanda worked together to choreograph this story for „costumes-as-actors”. Katika made the costumes and with the help of other artists from the Panda group they shot the Legend of Hungarian Hair.

The film chronicles the adventures of Hungarian Hair involving, among others, Illusion Lady, the Creator monsters, and the Birthing Bag.

SZŐRMAGYAR LEGENDÁJA

Vissza a modernizmushoz: a jelmez, mint képzőművészeti alkotás a kiindulópontja a pusztán a látványból kibontakozó „történetnek”. Poltné Hotykai jelmeztervezőként dolgozik, és az évek során az alkalmazott művészeti kompromisszumoknak áldozatul esett tervei adták a Szőrmagyar legendája alapötletét.

Poltné Hotykai és DrKissRitaPanda közös munkájából született meg ez a „jelmez színészekre” írt történet. Katika nem csupán megtervezte, hanem el is készítette az összes jelmezt és a Panda csoport művészeinek segítségével leforgatták a Szőrmagyar legendáját.

A film Szőrmagyar kalandjait mutatja be – Illúzióhölggyel, Szülőzsákkal, a Teremtőszörnyekkel és a többiekkel.
